Lordrush Speedups Guide: When to Save and When to Use Them

Quick answer: Save most construction, research, and training speedups for Hall of Governors or another stage that actually scores them. Use speedups immediately only when a key unlock is blocked, your queue would sit idle, or you need troops/healing for a real fight.

Speedups are not just timer skips. In Lordrush, they are event currency. The same 24 hours of speedups can either finish a building quietly or finish it during a scoring stage and earn rewards.

That is why speedup management is mostly timing. Hoarding forever is bad. Spending randomly is worse.

The Basic Rule

SituationWhat to do
Hall of Governors scores this speedup typeSpend if it helps hit a milestone or planned rank
Wrong event stageSave unless a major unlock is blocked
No event activeSave most speedups
Town Center or troop tier blockedConsider spending enough to unblock progress
Hospital close to overflowUse healing speedups if losses would become permanent

Before spending anything expensive, open the live event screen. If the stage does not score that item, you are only buying time.

Construction Speedups

Construction speedups are best used on buildings that matter:

  • Town Center
  • Town Center prerequisites
  • Embassy
  • Academy
  • Infantry, Archer, and Lancer troop camps
  • Infirmary before PvP
  • Storehouse before holding big non-secured resources

Do not waste construction speedups on random low-priority buildings just because they are almost done. A 3-hour speedup on a resource building feels harmless until you have done that twenty times and no longer have a real Hall of Governors push.

For construction order, use the Lordrush building priority guide.

Research Speedups

Research speedups are good because research is permanent. I would still save them for event stages whenever possible.

Use research speedups early only when:

  • A research unlock is blocking meaningful progress.
  • You need a combat or gathering upgrade before an event.
  • Your research queue would otherwise sit idle for a long time.
  • The current Hall of Governors stage scores research power or speedup use.

Do not finish a long research project the day before the event stage that would have rewarded it.

Training Speedups

Training speedups are best when paired with troop training stages. If you can start long troop queues before reset and collect during the scoring window, do that before you start burning inventory.

Use training speedups for:

  • Training-stage milestones.
  • Preparing for Bear Hunt or alliance combat needs.
  • Rebuilding after losses when your alliance needs you active.
  • Promoting troops during a stage that rewards the power gain.

Do not train random low-tier troops just to spend speedups. Higher-tier troops and promotion timing usually matter more than raw button pressing.

Healing Speedups

Healing speedups are different. They are a battle tool first and an event tool second.

Use healing speedups when:

  • Your Infirmary is close to full.
  • More wounded troops would become permanent losses.
  • Your alliance needs you back in a fight immediately.
  • A battle window is active and waiting would cost the team.

Avoid using healing speedups for routine small wounds. Batch healing with alliance help is usually better when you are not in danger.

Healing speedups are easy to waste. If the troops are safe in the Infirmary and the fight is over, patience usually beats spending.

How To Spend Speedups Cleanly

Use large speedups on long timers. Do not apply a 1-day speedup to a timer with 4 hours left unless you are intentionally closing an event milestone and have no better option.

A simple order:

  1. Use large speedups on timers long enough to absorb them.
  2. Use medium speedups to bring the timer down.
  3. Use small speedups only at the end.
  4. Stop once the event target is reached.

The last step matters. Stop when the milestone is secured. Extra clicking after that is usually just inventory damage.

Pre-Positioning For Hall Of Governors

Pre-positioning means setting up long projects before a scoring stage, then finishing them during the stage.

Examples:

  • Start a long Town Center prerequisite so it completes during City Construction.
  • Hold a research completion until a research or power stage.
  • Start troop queues before reset and collect during Train Troops.
  • Save Hero Roulette spins for Hero Development.

Always check whether the stage scores completion, power gain, speedup minutes used, or a mix. If a task only scores speedup minutes, speedups spent before the stage will not count.

F2P Speedup Plan

F2P players should be stricter than spenders. You do not have enough speedups to make every event a push event.

  1. Save most speedups for Hall of Governors.
  2. Spend only enough to reach realistic milestones.
  3. Keep a small emergency reserve.
  4. Avoid rank pushes unless you already know the cost.
  5. Use daily routine uptime to reduce the need for speedups.

The goal is not to win every leaderboard. The goal is to turn scarce speedups into milestone rewards, hero progress, and stronger long-term account growth.

Low-Spender Speedup Plan

Low spenders can use speedups a little more freely, but timing still matters. Buying a pack does not make the wrong event stage good.

Good uses:

  • Finishing a Town Center push during a construction stage.
  • Keeping both construction queues active after buying the permanent second builder.
  • Combining saved speedups with event packs for a specific milestone.
  • Speeding Academy or troop camps when they unlock a major upgrade.

Bad uses:

  • Clearing small timers out of impatience.
  • Spending outside events just because you bought a pack.
  • Using healing speedups when batch healing would work.

Common Speedup Mistakes

  • Spending speedups the moment you earn them.
  • Ignoring the active Hall of Governors stage.
  • Finishing major projects one day too early.
  • Using large speedups on short timers.
  • Training troops before the training stage starts.
  • Using healing speedups for routine wounds.
  • Chasing rankings without calculating the milestone or bracket.
  • Burning all speedups on construction and having none left for research or training.
